Edinilen bilgilere göre Düzce Merkez'de Sancaklar Mahallesi'nden Beyciler Mahallesi'ne geçmek için D-655 Düzce - Zonguldak Karayolunda aniden yola fırlayan Yaşar Ahmet H., Konuralp'ten şehir merkezine giden Gürkan Y.'nin kullandığı 81 FR 101 plakalı otomobilin altında kaldı. Otomobilin çarpmasıyla havaya fırlayan Yaşar Ahmet H., otomobilin camına çarparak yola düştü.
